Ilus Walk and Jump, Paper cut out Animation test

This was my first time doing anything like this, and I ended up making more pieces than needed. I filmed it in my room so I'm not sure about frame rate quality but it looks fine to me. I love character design and I used one I had handy; a child character from a Sci-fi series I plan to make in future, his name is Ilus Urosivich. It was much easier to animate a kid or something with short limbs and little clenched hands using this method. My favourite cut-out animator is Yuri Norstien.

Sound-Scape (Animatic)

This is supposed to be a tape of sounds you're hear as you climb up a mountain, first it's forestry at the bottom and there's a lot of wildlife, but as you get higher it gets colder and more desolated, and then windy, sort of empty, and your voice can echo off the other mountains. I don't really like the pictures, I just drew them as quick as I could with a biro, as I couldn't go and photograph a mountain at the time and I needed to generate the pictures myself, but I'm very happy with the sound tape.

Dancing Cogs

These were the Background visuals I made for the 2015 Winstanley College Fashion show. It's also what happens if you leave me alone for 8 hours with some filming equipment. This quite inspired by 'The Deep' by PES.

Herme's Mirror

In 2015 I was given the opportunity to do what ever I wanted for my 9 week final major project of my art diploma so I made this. Seven and a half of those weeks where spent researching, designing and model making, and the lest bit was filming and Editing. Just goes to show what I can do if I'm left alone for nine weeks on my own project. The only thing I didn't make is the music, I didn't need any help for anything other than getting the equipment for filming. This was mostly a spontaneous creation. It's a silent retelling of the Greek Myth about the origin of Hermes: Baby Hermes steals a cow from Apollo and Apollo and Athena chase after Hermes. Athena looses her brothers when they jump through a mirror, which is a homage to Jean Cocteau's Orphee; which is a 1950's retelling of Orpheus, another Greek Myth.

Seeing Sound

Seeing Sound - A short experimental student film about Synaesthesia, that I made for my College art course  in 2014: For the Animation and Illustration project I chose Illustration and animating music and sound as my theme. This was pretty much the first time I was given the opportunity to do whatever I wanted with a camera and I hade a lot of fun making it.
Never Mind 2 Is a compilation of animation and film experiments I made during the production of Seeing Sound (2014), but that didn't make it into the final project, I still thought I could make something interesting out of the left over footage.
